TO CLEAR UP THE CONFUSION BETWEEN THE "ELECT" AND THE "CALLED"

 

ISRAEL IS MINE ELECT!

Isa 42:1 "mine elect shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. "
Isa 45:4 "Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by name."
Isa 65:9 "I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob and Judah and mine elect shall inherit it."
Isa 65:22 "Mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands."
 
The elect in Strong's Concordance #972 which means is chosen.
 
Mt 24:22 "except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened."
Mt 24:24 "there shall arise false Christs and false prophets deceive the very elect."
Mt 24:31 "And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other." (This is obviously about the Jews to be returned to Israel)

Mr 13:20 "And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days."
Mr 13:22 "For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect."

Lu 18:7 "And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?"

Ro 8:33 "Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth."
Col 3:12 "Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;"
2Tim2:10 "I'd endure everything for the elect's sake" (Timothy separates himself from that group. His father was a Greek)

Tit 1:1 "Paul according to the faith of God's elect" (Paul was Jewish)

1 Pe 1:2 "Elect according to the foreknowledge of God"
1 Pe 2:6 Behold I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious and he that believeth shall not be confounded." (This again separates the Gentiles from Jews)
 
Used throughout the New Testament is 1588 per Strong's Concordance for the Word elect. 1588 is a fenced garden

THE GENTILES ARE THE CALLED
 
Matthew 20:16 "So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen. "
 
Romans 1:1 "Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God," (The Apostle Paul was Jewish but he was called to preach to the "called" Gentiles)
Romans 1:6 "Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:" (The Bride of Christ)
Romans 1:7 "To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ."
Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."
1 Corinthians 1:2 "Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:"
1 Corinthians 1:24 "But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God." (Jews, who accept Christ Jesus as their Savior become part of the Bride of Christ, the called)
 
The called through 1 Corinthians 1:24 in Strong's Concordance is #2822 which means is invited.
 
1 Corinthians 7:20 "Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called."
1 Corinthians 7:22 "For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant."

Galatians 1:6 "I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:"
Ephesians 4:1 "I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,"

Colossians 3:15 "And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful."

2 Thessalonians 2:14 "Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ."
